The FIFA World Cup 2026™ will be the largest and most inclusive tournament in history. A record 48 national teams will battle across 16 spectacular stadiums in three countries from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
For the first time, the group stage features 12 groups of 4 teams. Each team plays 3 matches. The top two teams from every group plus the eight best third-placed teams advance to a brand-new Round of 32 knockout stage — giving more nations a realistic chance to go deep in the tournament.
Opening match: June 11, 2026 at legendary Estadio Azteca (Mexico City)
Final: July 19, 2026 at MetLife Stadium (New York/New Jersey)
